Green Energy Fuels by Reliance Industries : In almost every household today, a car is a common sight. Some fulfill desires, while others cater to transportation needs with two or four wheels. However, buying a car is not just about fulfilling desires; it also involves the ongoing struggle of managing fuel expenses. With the rising prices of petrol and diesel, ordinary people are facing inconveniences. The cost of fueling a car adds up significantly, causing a dent in the pocket and adding to the financial burden of the middle class.
Green Energy Fuels by Reliance Industries
But what if I told you that soon, the cost of fueling your car could be as low as ₹4? Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it’s not a dream anymore. Reliance Industries, under the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, is paving the way for affordable car fueling solutions through green hydrogen and green ammonia production.
Reliance Industries is partnering with Larsen & Toubro, a renowned organization, to assist India economically. Larsen & Toubro is investing ₹100 billion towards this initiative. Reliance Industries is set to invest in the Kandla Port Authority for establishing green hydrogen and green ammonia plants. These plants will be established with the collaboration of various organizations like Larsen & Toubro, Greenko Group, and Wellspon New Energy.
The development plan includes 14 plots of land for purchase, with each plot covering approximately 300 acres. The total land acquisition plan encompasses around 4000 acres. The Kandla Port Authority has already allocated plots to four companies for the production of green ammonia, targeting an annual production of approximately 10 lakh tons per plot.
The vision for this land includes producing 7 million tons of green ammonia and 1.4 million tons of green hydrogen. Located near the Kachchh offshore, this port’s strategic location facilitates easy transportation of these products. The production of green hydrogen involves electrolyzing water using renewable power sources, ensuring zero carbon emissions.
But how does this translate into ₹4 per kilometer for car fueling?
The future lies in hydrogen as a fuel source. Cars running on hydrogen engines do not emit pollutants. Additionally, these cars can generate electricity using hydrogen-fueled batteries, further reducing pollution. Currently, the cost of running a petrol or diesel car ranges from ₹8 to ₹10 per kilometer. In contrast, green hydrogen fuel costs are significantly lower, almost half of the current rates. With prices ranging from ₹4 to ₹5 per kilometer, green hydrogen promises to reduce pollution and make fueling affordable for everyone.
Reliance Industries’ initiative towards green energy fuels is a step towards a sustainable and cost-effective transportation future. With the collaboration of leading organizations, the vision of affordable and eco-friendly transportation is no longer a dream but a soon-to-be reality.
